We only hear of St. Junia once, commended by St. Paul in one of his letters. But the praise he gives her is enough to make us pause. He uses the word “Apostle”, which we historically assumed referred only to Jesus’ direct Apostles - scribes over the years even tried to add an “S” to the end of her name to make it male. So who was she?
